On December 16, 2014, seven members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) entered the Army Public School in the Pakistani city of Peshawar and murdered over 140 people, 132 of them students between the ages of eight and eighteen. The principle of the school was killed by grenade when she attempted to hide in the bathroom. Most of the children had been shot close range in the head and others were forced to watch staff and teachers be executed.
Three of the Taliban members were killed by snipers and the rest were shot down when Pakistan SSG troops stormed the building. Although I have also heard that the Taliban were wearing suicide vests and detonated themselves during the gun fight. It is the deadliest terrorist attack in Pakistan’s history. Unforgivable.
Needless to say, the Pakistani Army has launched an offensive against the Taliban. During the massacre/standoff the Taliban members were in communication with their superiors which were intercepted by the Pakistani Army, giving them info on who the people are and where they are located. Recently, the Pakistani Army has launched airstrikes in specific areas now known as training camps for these terrorists. These recent airstrikes have been successful and they managed to kill 57 Taliban members, no civilian casualties. Take a note, Israel and America. It’s possible.
